Welcome to the Corvallis Vision Center web page! Corvallis Vision Center has a long and rich history in Corvallis spanning almost three quarters of a century making it one of the oldest continuously running health care offices in the city. Established in 1931 by Dr. A. W. Marker who also taught physics at Oregon State Agricultural College, Corvallis Vision Center began it's tradition of patient oriented eye care. Dr Roy Clunes, who came to Corvallis Vision Center after Dr Marker's death in 1943, often had to fly from his home in Albany to the old Corvallis airstrip near the present day Beca Avenue because of Willamette River flooding. Joined by Dr. Ross Warren in 1954 the practice continued to grow, being one of the first offices in the state to offer the "new hard contact lenses"

In the late '70's, Dr. Jay Seitz brought vision therapy services and in 1982 Dr. Douglas Crotty added his skills in contact lens fitting after Dr. Clunes' retirement. With the advent of soft lenses, diagnostic and therapeutic drug treatment, laser refractive surgery co-management and other expanded professional duties, the Doctors of Optometry at Corvallis Vision Center have been committed to providing comprehensive and personal vision care to the community.

At Corvallis Vision Center you will not be waiting to see your doctor because of overbooking. Your eye exam will never be limited to seeing the doctor for just five or ten minutes. The doctors often spend 30 or more minutes with each patient to learn how to best meet their vision needs. After your exam, our friendly staff will assist you with your frame selection and you can even take several frames home to show the family or your "trusted fashion consultant." We carry a large inventory of contact lenses in stock and can often fill your contact lens prescription without delay. In addition we offer discounts for bulk orders of disposable contact lenses.
